Red, White & Tuna with DH, Fifi and Toni

DH and I flew to San Angelo for Red, White & Tuna and to see Phyllis and Toni at their retro shop/lounge/theatre.

I love the shapes and patterns from the sky. We arrived safe and sound.

We drove around a bit then DH decided it was marg-thirty. Then nap time.

I can't wait for the show tonight! Also I want to post pictures of their building. They have done so much in just 3 years!

The show was a blast! It was a full house, sold out and then some! Such a great team, the Angelo Civic Theatre who produced the play! I met the stage designer/builder, costume/wig man, his wife the dresser and Casey, one of the actors

Casey, on the left, was the last to leave at about 12:30!!! Talented young man. Everyone I met in San Angelo was so welcoming and friendly. Here are a couple of pictures of their loft above the lounge.

Up on the roof. (insert musical notes) they even have a grassy area for the doggies. :)

Speaking of doggies, here's 14 year old Scout a pekehuahua or chi-nese, no doubt named for the character in To Kill A Mockingbird.

Phyllis and Scout.

Thank you Phyllis and Toni! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!!! Can't wait til next time!

Sisters on the Fly Wild West Weekend in West, TX

Liz and I joined a great bunch of women called the Sisters on the Fly at the KOA in West, TX! They share adventures all over the USA and "Have more fun than anyone!" We arrived for our first adventure late Friday evening, just in time for the evening meal. We were sooo underdressed in our t-shirts, shorts and tennies! Everyone was decked out in huge cowboy hats, boots and large petticoats! I wish we had taken pictures.

This is the cabin Liz and I stayed in.
Notice the snakeskin in the foreground!
This is a great example of 'Glamping'  or Glamorous Camping.

West is known for it's bakery, Little Czech Bakery
specializing in kolaches!
This is what was left of my apricot and cream cheese
kolache by the time I remembered to take a picture!
YUM!

We went on a little field trip with Marsha, our new 'sister.'
This is cactus. Her alias is Cactus Callie.

Cactus close-up.

We went to a vintage clothing store called Style Station in West.
They specialize in women's clothes and cowboy boots.

...and bloomers!
This is what most 'sisters' wear under their petticoat.

Here are a few of the trailers the sisters live in while on the fly.

Notice the kiddie pool in the middle. The women would
all sit around and put their feet in to ward off the hot flashes.

Aren't they just darling?!?

We all gathered Saturday night for a dinner of nachos, hotdogs and
homemade ice cream. Oh! And shots of something and cigars. hee hee

When it got dark we were handed what looked like a square of
folded tissue paper and told to write a message.

Then we coaxed them open and lit the bottom!!!
"Is this legal???!!!"

There they went! So beautiful! Watch the video below!
